Sumner County Schools Teach of the Month, April 2014

Hendersonville Rotarian and Sumner County Schools Director Del Phillips presented the Club’s Educator of the Month award to Jama Cook, kindergarten teacher at Nannie Berry Elementary School. Cook, who was introduced by her principal Kathy Kimble, has taught at Nannie Berry for four years and has been a teacher for 10 years in Sumner County.

In addition to the Educator of the Month awards, the Hendersonville Rotary Club supports Sumner County education in a number of other ongoing projects including Youth Merit Scholar awards, Scholarships to Volunteer State Community College, the Wally Nichols Memorial Scholarship, mentoring at-risk students, weekend backpack programs, Dictionaries for Third Graders, Wheels In Motion, Rotary Youth Exchange, RYLA, Interact, Rotaract, and COMPASS.
