Sumner County Sheriff and Hendersonville Rotarian Bob Barker passed today, Tuesday, August 17 at 1:40 am after a brief battle with pancreatic and liver cancer.
Several Rotary Clubs in Sumner County have banded together to purchase and distribute dictionaries to every 3rd grade student in Sumner County.

As most of you have already heard, our Sumner County Sheriff, Bob Barker, has pancreatic cancer. Bob has been accepted by a medical practice in New York, with Drs. Nicholas Gonzalez & Linda Isaacs. These doctors have had positive results with enzyme treatment for pancreatic and other types of cancer. We are expecting positive results. Dr. Gonzalez & Dr.Isaacs will be working with Bob’s Oncologist here in Tennessee. Many of you are wanting to help, so friends and family have set up a Bob Barker Fund at Volunteer State Bank, to help with medical cost, airfare, hotel cost etc.
